Dear FPS members,

We have carried out major restoration projects at the Chew Kee Store Museum over the last two years. Now it’s time to begin much-needed repairs to the exterior of Fiddletown’s 1862 schoolhouse.

We are grateful for grants toward replacing the schoolhouse roof from the Native Sons of the Golden West Foundation and Sutter Creek Parlor and from the Jackson Rancheria.

Your Giving Tuesday donations on November 30th will help reroof the schoolhouse!

The schoolhouse—one of 18 sites in the Fiddletown Historic District—is owned and maintained by FPS. Restorations ensure that the schoolhouse is a venue for community gatherings, musical performances, and history tours into the future.
