Fiddletown Wine Competition - 2008

The first annual Fiddletown Wine Competition results are in! The competition was divided into two parts.

First, a panel of professional wine judges assembled to taste each wine and decide whether it should be awarded a Gold, Silver, or Bronze medal. The panel consisted of renowned wine judges Gordon Binz, Darrell Corti, Martha Dunne, Mike Dunne and "Pooch" Pucilowski.

The second part was a "People's Choice" tasting held on April 5th as part of the FPS Heritage Day festival. In a blind tasting, the public tasted 14 of the 20 wines entered, selecting their favorite wines.

Wines entered must have been made, at least in part, from grapes grown in Fiddletown.

Thanks again to Anne Filer and Gwen Johnson of the FPS, Beth Sogaard Catering and the Amador Vintage Market, the esteemed panel of judges, the wineries which participated, and Dick and Dawn Martella for their support.
